Tues 4th Oct Red, White or Rose’

Another bright blue sky greeted us ready for our much anticipated wine tour.  Our first stop was a lovely small vineyard, Salvare, where we were treated to a very informative talk on how to taste wine. Apparently you don’t just drink it!

We even got to taste wine sorbet….. delicious

Inside we had little tasters of the dips and sauces they also make.
Second stop was Moana Park

We also got to look around the winery. Just think these huge barrels hold some delicious wines.

Our tour also included a cheese platter, just the thing to eat with wine.

Final stop was at The Mission vineyard which is the oldest in the area. It was originally a seminary for the church and in fact this stunning house was cut into 11 pieces and moved up the hill to avoid flooding. The church that we had that delicious lunch was part of the original estate.

We had a wonderful day, the weather was perfect, the wine was delicious and the company entertaining.
