Fri Sept 30th Auckland City of Sails

Now we know why it is called the City of Sails it’s so windy, especially around the harbour side.

Today we are going to try to find our waterside apartment and the hospitality venue so that when we know where we are going when we return for the semi finals and final. I can’t believe we are half way through our holiday. It’s going so fast. I want to do it again.

Auckland is a city and with that comes traffic and people. We have seen more cars and people today than we saw in the three weeks in Dunedin! We mooched around the marina first but Phil couldn’t decide which boat he wanted.

This is serious money and I mean serious!
As we wandered along the marina we found the fish market. An absolute foodies heaven.
A fantastic range of fish and seafood with wonderful names
Now those are what you call prawns!
After all that walking I needed a rest
On our wanderings we found this open air concert and spent some time taking in the music and surroundings.

They even served FREE ice creams. We love New Zealand.
Big game tomorrow, Scotland NEED to score 4 tries and beat us by 7 points to avoid going home. In theory that should be a pipe dream, but rugby is a funny old game.
Tomorrow we're going to check out the Fanzone and find out what all that hooha was about on Queen's Wharf.
