Tues 11th Oct Road trip to Rotoroa via Lake Taupo

Off to the hot pools, mud pools and geysers of Rotoroa today. But how about this for the ideal sign to represent the area.
All roads lead to wine……perfect.
On our way to Rotoroa we stopped off to admire the view at Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s largest lake. Unfortunately the mountains were obscured by the clouds.
We popped in for coffee, sorry forgot to photo cake but Phil felt very at home by this welcome display of a local boxing team whohad spent some time in Kazakhstan
Also we had to debate whether we should take up this challenge?
If the All Blacks are short of a few players we could always stand in.
Back on the road again towards Rotoroa we pulled up to take a look at Huka Falls. A stunning narrow gully, through which gallons and gallons of clear blue/turquoise water rush through. My photos don’t do it justice, absolutely breathtaking.

The jets boats come quite close which looks scary to me
And here’s a rare sight,
Charlie and Robyn on the same photo. Tonight we're off to a Maori show.
