Sun 9th Oct Game Over.

The party’s over, disappointed but relieved that we don’t have to go through the stress of another game. It all boils down to the fact that we weren’t good enough. So now we can go to the remaining games and enjoy the rugby.
Sun was out again so after breakfast we headed towards North Head. This used to be a naval defence base. Now it is a public park. As you climb the hill you get fantastic views of the bays around Auckland.

There are still gun emplacements, turrets and tunnels. The guns are still used for 21 gun salutes on royal visits

New Zealand is the land of extreme sport and here we spotted this little boy practising for bigger and better things. The things you can do with a cardboard box!
One day grass slides the next paragliding/bungy jumping
As we headed back to the bay we had our consolation cake at the café on the waters edge. Mine today was apple and rhubarb crumble…..yum
Back at Eden Park we had our photo taken with a gigantic cup before taking our seats for the Argentina v All Blacks game.
Look who we spotted in the crowd
The All Blacks are going to be tough to beat but they have to face their old foes Australia next.
