Thurs 20th Oct The sun has got his hat on

Yesterday was so, so  wet so we spent the day shopping, having lunch then the pictures. Always a good standby for bad weather. But 24 hours later we have beautiful clear blue skies so we set out for a drive north. We stopped to take in the scenery at Wairwera.
Phil found the perfect piece of driftwood but he had to leave it behind….no room in the case.
Carrying on we stopped off at Puhoi to see the first pub in New Zealand (apparently). It would have been rude not to have a drink.

As we sat on the deck I spotted this sign, Kiwi humour I just love it.
Also in the village was this very pretty church.
Next stop was this unspoilt beach at Snell beach.
The sea is so clear and blue
Further down the road another special place St Martins Bay.

New Zealand is certainly a very beautiful place and when the sun is shinning it’s heavenly.
Tomorrow we have the Bronze final Wales v Australia.

  1. The weather is just starting to come right. Think you had better stay another month. We have room....
