Wet and windy Mon 12th Sept

You wouldn’t believe how the weather has changed. We set off from Dunedin this morning for a drive along the Otago Peninsular to visit the Albatros centre. It was dry and bright when we set off a bit cold but were well wrapped up.

Stunning views as we drove along. You have a good view of the stadium from the other side of the harbour.

By the time we had popped into the Albatross centre, had a cup of tea and yes a bit of cake, peach and walnut muffin(served warm) yummy, it was blowing a hooley. So we had a quick peek over the edge and made for the car.

We decided that we needed a beer so the best place was to head for Speights brewery in town. When we pulled up to the main door we spotted this tap. Phil thought he was in Heaven a free bar! Only find out it was free spring water!

Disappointed we carried on with the tour, which was excellent. The guide was amusing as he decided to pick on a couple of jocks from the Shetlands.
Even spotted our local Boro lad.

After the tour we had a pleasant half hour in the tasting room. Phil took charge of the pumps and lined up the drinks.

We headed home two happy bunnies.
