Sat 17th Sept

Early start this morning as we went to the Farmers Market in town. On the way we passed through the Octogon (which is the fan zone for the RWC) and lucky Philly won his next caravan!

It has fab decor!

We wandered down to the market which was really busy and some stalls had even sold out. We were treat to some classical music curtesy of this band.

Plenty of lovely food for sale. You come 12 thousand miles and you find local produce such as eccles cakes and yorkshire bacon. Lots of cakes of course!

Do I need to say more?

We spent the afternoon at our Rugby headquarters, the Alhambra Rugby Club. This local club has opened it's doors to all the visitors and made everyone welcome. They have been serving cheap beer and fantastic food. They've even let the motorhome/campervan people use the showers  free of charge.
It is only a 10 minute walk to the stadium, perfect.

  2. Hi Jan. You look like you're having an amzing time!

The other day I saw someone on Twitter say that the players on the Irish bench were wearing Slankets. I think you need to be our official Slanket spotter!

    Have a wonderful week.

    Julie :-)
