Tues 20th Sept Adrenalin city

Queenstown is all year round town full of fun & adventure, is the little fellows here?
In the winter they have snow slopes for skiing and snowboarding. In the summer the lake and surrounding areas are a main attraction.
So to get us going we start with coffee but no cake today, thought we’d have a change with scone, jam and cream.
We had a lovely walk by the waterside looking at the boats but the real star of the show is the scenery. Words can’t describe it so you had better come yourselves to appreciate the beauty.
Ok time to turn up the heat so we went jet boating along Shotover Canyon with the boat riding at some times with only 4 inch’s water and doing lots of 360 Deg turns this was a mega rush .
We’ll let the photos do the talking.
BRILLIANT    BRILLIANT    BRILLIANT
Now we decided a trip up the gondola and a couple of goes on the luge was in order.
I remember the gondola from my last visit 30 years ago.
Still steep but now with added attractions such as this bungy jump No way Jose or helicopter ride or even a spot of paragliding.
The luge was more my style. I did the scenic route so I could take my time and not spoil it for anyone else. Phil did the fast lane.

After all this adventure we were famished so we headed back into town for fish and chips. Can’t believe that we found the cheapest beer in town at the chippy!
Still no sight of the little cheeky chappies

  2. The queenstown luge is tame compared to Rotorua. Three tracks! We are busy adding weight so that we can gain an advantage! Queenstown looks as good as ever. Some great photos. Big game ahead today for the ABs. See you Monday. Will give you a call Sunday night
