Trams, boats and escalators

Today we have been scooting aroung Hong Kong. We started by taking a trip across Victoria Harbour to Hong Kong Island on the famous Star Ferry. It cost us all of 30p..... Phil was well pleased.

There are lots of footbridges and walk ways so that you don't have to cross the very busy roads.

We headed for the Mid Level escalators which rise 792mtrs or 2598 ft in old money. This is an amazing piece of engineering. I wouldn't have wanted to walk up these steep hills before this was built.
We went right to the top ...and yes we walked all the down. The humidity was 80-90% today and the temperature was 27 so we just had to pop into this home from home.
Just to cool down of course.
