Sydney day 2

Day 2 in Sydney finds us cruising, unfortunately not on an ocean going liner but the local ferry up to Watson's Bay.

All the usual sights pass us by on yet another glorious winter's day.

Sydney Harbour is huge, there are lots of bays and inlets. We headed for a beautiful spot at Watson's bay, a quiet unspoilt area with a lovely beach.

As we walked up the beach we spotted this fabulous tea house, Dunbar House.

It would have been rude not to stop so we took part in a bit of afternoon tea, in the morning(only in Australia). Just check out the fab Wedgewood china and those scones....yummy.

We sat on the veranda and soaked up the views.

After stuffing ourselves we walked up the hill to see the ocean.

We go half way round the world and bump into lions fans from Northallerton, Phil had even played rugby against some of them in his youth!

We couldn't linger our next ferry to Manly was calling. Manly is a well known spot on the harbour. It has great beaches and surfing. Even in winter there were people in the water.

We wandered along the sea front and did what most people do at the seaside.....had fish & chips. Check out the size of these prawns.
Followed by fish & chips and mushy peas!
Perfect.
The sun was setting as we left to sail back to Sydney.

What we needed now was a nightcap.
Hot Chocolate Guylain style

Delicious!

Night Night.
