Up to the mountains

We picked up a car and headed for the hills, also known as Tamborine Mountain.Another blue sky, could get used to this. We drove along very windy roads to the Skywalk, which is   a tree top walk through the rain forest.
We have never seen such tall trees, they were magnificent. They were so straight and tall. You could hear the birds but unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife.

It was a lovely walk and as we left we spotted this beautiful kuru(fern head).
Next up was lunch at Cedar Creek a winery further up the mountain.

We sat by this beautiful pond/lake and tried out the wine.(Charlie: we were thirsty!)

The food out here is fab, diet will have to wait!
Next up a walk to Curtis Waterfalls.

More huge trees.
As we were south of Brisbane we decided to drive to the Gold coast to see the sunset. It is very built up and unfortunately lots of road works meant we couldn't find a spot to park. So we watched the sunset from the spit and then drove home.

ps must mention to previous followers that a cake update is imminent. Also we are averaging 12000 steps a day in an effort to counteract the eating!
