Ist day in Brisbane

Guess what .... the sun is shining 2nd day in a row. We could get used to this. It's a pleasant 18 so we're off to tour the town. A ride on the free bus into townAs we strolled around town we came across some great street art.

We made our way towards the river passing some fabulous buildings.

This last picture is the old customs house, now a restaurant and we've earmarked this for a future dinner. You'll never go hungry or thirsty in this town. The riverside is crammed with restaurants and bars. There is even an old paddle boat cruiser.

We caught the city cat up river to the Regatta hotel for a spot of lunch.
This beautiful building is in the Queensland style. It has been lovingly restored after flooding in 2011.
Lunch was a huge steak sandwich
.....delicious.
After a few beers there was only one thing to do?
Walk back,so that's what we did. I think this may feature in my month of numbers over on the inked edge blog.

It was a lovely walk along the riverside and we've decided that Brisbane is a city of bridges, I think I feel a film coming on "The bridges of Brisbane Queensland"..

After all that walking we needed a small nap.
See you tomorrow
