The sun was shining which is not the norm for an English bbq. Terry had invited friends, mainly ex-pats and work mates.
Look at that view over the river, unfortunately my camera just couldn't do it justice.
Talk about spooky I was chatting with a guy called David from Hartlepool, who was telling me that he and his wife (Elizabeth) lived on a boat. I thought this must be a popular thing to do as my brother in New Zealand had some friends who lived on a boat. Then David mentioned that he had lived in Nelson New Zealand before sailing to Brisbane. So then the penny dropped and you should have seen the look of disbelief when I asked him if he knew my brother. He couldn't get over it, all night and kept chuckling to himself. So how amazing is that, to half way round the world,go to a friend's husband's bbq and meet a very good friend of my brother. Amazing and here we are.
Then we played a game called "wear the silly hat" right up our street!
No party is complete without a sing song so here's Terry on guitar and Phil singing.
Thanks for a great night Terry.
