Barcelona and the Spanish GP

Just to get us in the mood for Australia we had a long weekend in Barcelona for the Spanish GP. We booked a Groupon discount deal and we were not disappointed.
Fab hotel, great location on the beach  even though the builders were trying to finish it when we arrived.

The whole event was well organised. We spent the Friday on a hop on,hop off bus tour round Barcelona.

It was very cold and windy so we hopped off and found a local bar and sampled the tapas.
 The local market was fabulous.

The Grand Prix was brilliant, the noise  the colour, the smell of the fuel, along with the fans made it a memorable experience. It was tricky taking photos as the cars wizzed around the track so fast. I have lots of empty shots but here's a few that I managed to get of the cars.

It was all very exciting but it didn't steal my heart that still belongs to Rugby.

Roll on the Lions tour.
